Cascade's Metro Cruise Warm Up

WELCOME to the 2024 Cascade Metro Cruise® Warm Up, presented by the Cascade DDA!

Since 2010, the Warm Up has been a staple event for Cascade, and the unofficial kick-off to the big Metro Cruise event weekend.  Featuring an awesome collection of locally-owned collector cars, live music, tasty local food options, official merchandise, Kent County Sheriff K9 demonstration, fire truck display, face painting, and more!  Announcing our 2024 charitable partner Cascade Community Foundation – dine out at participating restaurants the week of August 19, or purchase tickets for the 50/50 raffle to help support our local community. 

Key details:

• Date and time: Thursday, August 22nd from 4pm-8pm
• Location: Cascade Rd & 28th Street (6797 Cascade Rd, Cascade, MI)
• Free admission, free parking for general cars
• Free admission, free parking for collector cars (register at booth)
• 50/50 Raffle supporting Cascade Community Foundation – winner announced about 7:30pm after band conclusion

Collector/Classic Cars:

General Parking:

• Please only park in designated “Event Parking” areas
• All parking areas are close the event site and fully accessible; there are no handicap parking areas

Event Entertainment:

• LIVE music by The Kennedy Affair (blues, rock) 5:00pm – 7:30pm
• Free kids face painting courtesy of United Bank
• Demonstrations from multiple K9 units from throughout West Michigan
• Kent County Sheriff displays – tactical truck, cruiser, motorcycles
• Fire truck display courtesy of Cascade FD

Food and treats:

1. Red Hot GR – the mobile food truck of the Grand Rapids icon “Red Hot Inn”, continuing the service of the best chili dogs around.  A 100+ year local family business!  Hot dogs with all the toppings.
2. Airborne Burritos – veteran-owned and operated, savory gourmet burritos and nachos.  Fillers like avocado, spanish rice, brazilian, pineapple pico, sweet Thai chili, Jamaican jerk – must try!
3. Airborne Melts – the newest addition to the ‘Airborne’ family, gourmet specialty melts and loaded fries.
4. Kool Breze – a staple at Warm Up since the beginning – any kind of sweet treat you’d want!  Soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, sno-cones, slushies, cold soft drinks, cotton candy, popcorn, and more.
5. Berries Delicious – gourmet chocolate treats and sweets.
