Cascade’s Warm Up is back for it’s 16th annual event! It has been a staple event for Cascade, and the unofficial kick-off to the big Metro Cruise event weekend. Featuring an awesome collection of locally-owned collector cars, live music, tasty local food options, official merchandise, Kent County Sheriff K9 demonstration, fire truck display, SWAT vehicle, face painting, and more!
The event is set for Thursday, August 20th, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
For Collector/Classic Car Owners…
- Please only park in designated “Event Parking” areas – shaded YELLOW on map below
- Thanks to the Cascade DDA, there is no fee for parking!
- Must check-in at Registration tent
- FREE custom Warm Up dash plaque to first 75 cars!
- Please – no setting up of 10’x10′ canopy tents
For General Parking…
- Follow parking attendants and signage to reserved collector car parking area
- Please only park in designated “Event Parking” areas – shaded PURPLE on map below
- All parking areas are close the event site and fully accessible; there are no handicap parking areas
- Note the NEW parking area on the north side of the strip mall. Not all this area has lined parking spots, and most is a gravel surface.
LIVE music on stage from 5:00pm to 7:30pm from the Dolly Daggar band, who plays favorites hits with a rock, pop, and country style.
Free kids face painting will again be offered, courtesy of United Bank.
Kent County Sherrif will again do their crowd-favorite K9 unit demonstration. They bring in multiple K9 units from throughout West Michigan and narrate a 10 minute show of some of the capabilities and tricks of these awesome dogs and their handlers. They will perform during the band’s intermission, between 6pm and 6:30pm. Kent County Sheriff will also bring their SWAT tactical truck, cruiser, and motorcycles. - Patty Matters – the long-running staple of the West Michigan food truck industry, serving hand-crafted beef, turkey, chorizo, salmon, and veggie burgers, chili cheese fries, potato bombs, sweet potato fries, chili
- Saladino Smoke – low and slow, real wood-burning pit BBQ. Pork, brisket, or chicken on a sandwich, in a bowl, or basket. Sides of corn bread casserole, tots, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw.
- Sip Shack – Dirty sodas, lemonades and energy drinks
- Olly’s Donuts – famous and delicious mini donuts with toppings
